 ISM Alumni Network Announces Omu of Ibusa, Obi Josephine Nwannabuogwu, as Grand Matron

The newly established ISM Alumni Network (ISM Network) has announced HRH Obi Josephine Isioma Nwannabuogwu, the Omu of Ibusa, as its Grand Matron. The announcement followed the inaugural meeting of members of the association.


Members who spoke at the inaugural meeting expressed their appreciation for the choice of the Omu. Among them were Mrs. Ann Oligbo and Nneka Rosemary Eshiokwu.


Seconding the motion for the appointment, Nneka Eshiokwu said Omu Josephine Nwannabuogwu possesses the good spirit and qualities required to bring people together and mobilise them towards advancing the common good of Ibusa.


Mrs. Oligbo, on her part, described the choice of the Omu as a further promotion of Ibusa culture. She particularly noted that the Omu is blessed with a strong spirit of welfare and concern for the wellbeing of others.


The Omu of Ibusa was consequently adopted as the Grand Matron of the ISM Alumni Network.


Obi Josephine Isioma Nwannabuogwu was a former member and Welfare Officer of the Ibusa Singles Meet Worldwide.


Meanwhile, the Network is expected to formally present the Omu to Mrs. Rosemary Moji Ikolodo, Grand Matron of Ibusa Singles Meet Worldwide, the parent organisation of the Network; Mrs. Florence Agoh and Lady Benedicta Okonji, the Lagos and Ibusa Matrons respectively; and Dr. Prisca Okeleke, the group's Career Counsellor, for official recognition.


The Network's President, Ifeyinwa Izegbu, confirmed the planned presentation.
