Paschal Adigwe on the prestigious award recently conferred on him. In a tribute published in Anioma Watch and also made available to the Pen Master, Elueme described Hon.  Ibusa's Daughter, Global Champion: How Bose Omolayo's Powerlifting Legacy Made Our People Proud  By Emeka Esogbue From Seme-border town hairdresser to Nigerian paralympic stardom, her story changed. From Ibusa to the world stage, Bose Omolayo, the Paralympic powerlifter, has put the Ibusa community on the global map once again. However, many from the community are unaware that she is one of their own. Omolayo's powerlifting success has announced the human capacity of Anioma to the world, showcasing the region's potential. Against all odds, she lifted Ibusa to the world stage at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, winning a silver medal in the women's 79kg powerlifting event. Her incredible lift of 145kg secured her country a place on the world medal table. Omolayo has a rich history of championships, having previously won two gold medals at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. She also won silver medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2022 women's heavyweight ev...

Jubilation in Ibusa as Buhari Assents Institute of Strategic Management Act - GIWA President, Ajumeze, Henry Ajudua, Philip Elueme, Others Hail Prof Uwandulu for the Uncommon Feat Story By Emeka Esogbue The people of Ibusa in Delta State have hailed outgoing President, Mohammadu Buhari for assenting the Chartered Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (Establishment) Act.  The news was broken to the people of the community via social media platforms where it was posted on Tuesday by Prof Austin Uwandulu, the Institute's initiator and illustrious son of the community.  The visibly excited Uwandulu who is also the founder of the Academy for Governance wrote:  "Join me in thanking God for a dream come true as President Buhari, yesterday, signed into law, the bill that transferred the Institute that I pioneered and founded in Nigeria into an Act."  "The Institute is a precursor to the Academy for Governance that I am also implanting for the greatness of Niger...

Fear Politicians: Emeka Esogbue Shocked by Philip Elueme's Forged Article Over Anioma National Congress

Fear Politicians: Emeka Esogbue Shocked by Philip Elueme's Forged Article Over Anioma National Congress There was the dispute over reported bid to create a socio-political organization for the Anioma people, which some politicians guided against and I did a piece, stating that Anioma is a region that requires an establishment of a socio-cultural organization in the magnitude of Ohanaeze, Afenifere, Arewa, Middle Belt Forum and others, which attracted positive comments from a wide range of social media users.  Interestingly, Philip Elueme, Legislative Aide to Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, the Senator serving the Delta North, in total difference called me instantly on the phone and with political motivation, he attempted to dissuade my opinion but I stood still.  The next morning, the Legislative Aide went up on social media with a screaming headline, "Philip Elueme Chides Emeka Esogbue Over Anioma National Congress." Shockingly, he came up phoney details. Although he never resp...

A CALL FOR THE HONOUR OF IBUSA HEROES AND HEROINES

A CALL FOR THE HONOUR OF IBUSA HEROES AND HEROINES * NAME A MONUMENT AFTER IKPO -        Emeka Esogbue Although Ibusa, a community in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State is rich in human resources, the same community suffers languorous attempts to initiate honours or immortalize her heroes and heroines. For this reason, the greatness of notable men and women of Ibusa extraction are known to have lived and died unrecognized. As the Ibusa people say it, “Agwu bulu onye obulu onyuyue na anaa”. In Ibusa, the almighty death has a serious way of ending the life of man and obliterating permanently his deeds. Since existence, the Government whether colonial or indigenous; Federal or State has never named any monument after any son or daughter of the community. This is strange but true but admittedly, it is consistent with reality. It is undesirable to believe that until March 2021, the Ibusa people have never made any formal attempt or pre...
