 At the Crossroads of History: A Visit to the Okpanam–Ibusa Intersectional Path By Emeka Esogbue On the night of December 18, 2025, I embarked on a brief sightseeing journey to behold the newly completed Okpanam Road by the Ibusa Bypass.  From Obiship Itchi Observances, Obi Dr. Henry Ajudua Salutes the Ibusa People - Emeka Esogbue As Obi Dr Henry Ajudua's Itchi rites of Obiship continues in his Ibusa hometown, the cultural participant has sent his salutations to the Ibusa people.  Obi Dr. Henry Ajudua, the newest Ibusa Obi, is in Itchi as part of a big cultural observances and is almost finished with the traditional process that would reveal him to the community as Obi.  Following this ceremony, he will be brought to the Udoh ground, where he will ultimately don the indigenous anklet known as "eli li ukwu."  As required by custom, his spouse, Queen B, the late Chief Elizabeth Njideaka's daughter, would also benefit from the Obiship position. UWOLO CRISIS TEARS IBUSA COMMUNITY APART Story By Emeka Esogbue There are indications that all is not well in Ibusa community in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State following an alleged removal of the Uwolo of the community, Chief Amaechi Nwaenie and consequent replacement.  PEN MASTER can report that indigenes fear that the community, struggling to return from the Obuzo-Diokpa crisis since 1995, is finding its way back on another path of major social crisis. Trouble started when on June 21, 2023, a video clip was circulated on social media, showing a ceremony in which Chief Amaechi Nwaenie, the Uwolo of Ibusa was allegedly removed from traditional office and replaced with Ogbuu Agiliga Umunna who was later seen in another video chalked by the 104-year old Diokpa of the community, Onowu Paul Ijeh.  Since then, the people of the community from the various quarters have been trading blames.  Onowu Joseph Adinlofu Coronated as the Diokpa of Umuodafe Quarter of Ibusa - Sir Dr. Chuks Okonji Joins other Attendees to honour the nonagenarian.  - Emeka Esogbue The Umuodafe sons and daughters of the Ibusa community in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, today, gathered in the community for the ascension of Onowu Joseph Nwachukwu Adinlofu as the Diokpa of Umuodafe natively called "Inabata Umu Ncha."  FRED AJUDUA COMMENCES SELFLESS REBUILDING OF EZE IWU, BENSON ASHIBUOGWU'S HOUSE AFTER DEMOLITION  - Emeka Esogbue In his continuation of "Operation No Mud House in 21st Century Ibusa," exercise, renowned philanthropist and Onwanetili Oha of Ibusa has commenced the rebuilding of the home of noted Eze Iwu of Umuodafe, Mr. Benson Ashibuogwu in Umuodafe Quarters of the community.
