 Tears and Sorrow as Ibusa Novelist, Philip Ngozi Kwusike Goes Home - Emeka Esogbue What had started as an intense shock for the Ibusa community following the announcement of the death of Philip Ngozi Ifechukwude-Kwusike and kept the community in a sombre mood, became metamorphic of sorrow and tears as the community's prominent novelist and writer was laid to rest on Thursday morning.  The day before, was the heavily attended service of songs by the people of Ibusa which took place in his Umutaba, Nkpanyala home.  Jubilations As Omu Ibusa Completes Installation Rites - Emeka Esogbue There was a wild jubilation in Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State as Omu Josephine Isioma Nwannabuogwu, the Omu of Ibusa performed her final rites of Omuship at the Eke Market Square of the community natively called "Ashia Eke." The Omu was seen in a video that circulated on social media performing the rites in the full glare of the public eyes, supported by some elders and Otu Omu. Native drummers, youths and women were also seen in the video now widely viewed online. The sound of a traditional flutist otherwise called "Akpele" and voices of native praise singers were also heard during the rite performance at the busy Eke Market.  Incidentally, the market, the largest in the community, located along the popular Umejei Road, was established by the first Omu of Ibusa, according to the community's legend.
