This prestigious honour is an indication of his tireless efforts in promoting Anioma's rich cultural heritage. He was recognized for his relationship with the body and contributions towards the growth and development of the Organization.  OFAAC: Congratulations to Star Prize Winners, Egwu Oma Dance Troupe of Ibusa Did you know that the Ibusa cultural troupes have always dominated the Anioma Cultural Festivals?  Yes, young dancers from the community have always performed brilliantly, incredibly surpassing other performers and emerging the overall winners out of hundreds. The recent 19th edition of the Anioma Cultural Festival took place in Asaba in the presence of hundreds of performers, audience and other important figures from the Anioma area among them Rt. Hon (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, the Delta State Governor ably represented by Sir Monday Onyeme, the Deputy Governor. In the end, the Egwu Oma Dance Group of Ibusa amazingly came first and won the star prize. The second position would go to Aguba Royal Dance Group of Ubulu-Uno while the Seat of Wisdom Dance Group of Kwale came third.  Gideon Nwaomu, OFAAC Promoter of Anioma Culture, Rest in Peace Recently, the Anioma media is again, awash with the recent news of the demise of Mr. Gideon Nwaomu, the CEO of Giddy's Place, Asaba, Delta State.  Three of my OFAAC mentors have passed away in a short amount of time, including Omu Martha Dunkwu, the regular OFAAC face whose Anioma appearance and dress were selling the Anioma people to the media.  People would always point to her to ask, who that woman was. The second victim was Hon Emeka Nmadu and third third was Mr. Gideon Nwaomu, the latter two who were Directors of the Organization.  PROMOTING ANIOMA CULTURE:THE ONU IKA EXAMPLE - Emeka Esogbue Established in 1988, the Ika Organization of Leaders, which later transformed into Onu Ika (Voice of Ika) by name, is a group for the people of Ika South and Ika North-East local government areas within the Delta North of Delta State. It holds an annual lecture in what it calls "Ogwa Ika." The Onu Ika Nigeria is an example of an Anioma group that has supported the advancement of the Ika culture in particular and Anioma in general through different programmes and different platforms available to it.
