Emeka Esogbue has been honoured by Anioma Association USA,
Inc, Georgia Chapter. The award was announced by Mr. Martin Chukwurah, the
President of the organization at the end-of-year party put together to mark a
successful year of the group on Saturday, December 4, 2015 in Georgia, United
States of America.
Esogbue, a his
torian who is also the Associate Editor of Anioma Essence Magazine and a member of the Organization For the Advancement of Anioma Culture (OFAAC), the culture umbrella of the Anioma people, publishers of Anioma Essence Magazine was announced winner of the award by the group’s President. Esogbue has said he was dedicating the award received by him to the Anioma people whose business, he said is to assist the less-privileged in the society.
‘The less-privileged are greatly disadvantaged and need
people to stand up for them’, he remarked while dedicating the award.
He named Bar Femi Okafor and Prof Chris Nwaokobia from
Ibusa; Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin from Illah and Chief Mike Agbamuche Jnr from
Akwukwu-Igbo, all from Anioma communities of Delta State as people he was
dedicating the award to. He also thanked Mr. Martin Chukwurah and Mr. Michael
Brian Odiakosa, the President and Vice-President of the Anioma organization for
the recognition accorded him.
