Pen Master's Ibusa Personality of the Week: Chief Kizito Osadebe Ijeh
Chief Kizito Osadebe Ijeh, a shining example of determination and hard work, has earned the distinction of being Pen Master's Ibusa Personality of the Week. Born to Ibusa parents, Chief Odogwu Ijeh and Mrs. Francisca Omeba Ijeh, both from Ibusa in Delta State, Chief Kizito's remarkable journey bears the torch of unwavering commitment to excellence.
Chief Ijeh's academic credentials are impressive. He attended St. Augustine's College, Ibusa, and later Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku. He graduated with a First University Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Jos and later obtained a Master's degree in International Diplomacy and Strategic Studies from Leads City, Ibadan. Additionally, he holds a Leadership Certificate from the Academy for Governance, an institution founded by Prof Austin Uwandulu.
Chief Kizito has held various positions, showcasing his leadership prowess. He served as President of the Nigerian Universities Theatre Arts Students Association (NUTASA), member of the Delta Urban Water Board, and State Secretary of the Accord Party. He also chaired the Local Government Finance Committee under Hon. Onyeayana Okafor's administration and is a member of the Ibusa Community Development Union (ICDU), Ibusa Branch.
As an Alor title holder, Chief Ijeh was inducted into the Ndichie, Ezemese Division in 2001, playing a vital role in dispute mediation and resolution in the community. He was also a key member of the Concerned Ibusa Citizens (CIC), a group that worked tirelessly to resolve the Otu Diokpa and Otu Obuzo crisis. Furthermore, He founded People of Oshimili North (PoON), an elitist umbrella body that focuses on charitable objectives within the Oshimili North Local Government Area.
He is also an honourable member of the Igbuzo Singles Meet Worldwide (ISM) who not only identifies with the community youth organization but continues to support the group in various ways possible. Chief Kizito Osadebe Ijeh is a foundation Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and he remains a prominent political figure today.
He is known for his sound intellect, composure, and ability to navigate complex issues. His humility, amiableness, and integrity have earned him widespread respect. Despite his achievements, he remains committed to the well-being of his community.
