All roads will today lead to Ishite's Ezukwu (Broad Street) Quarters of the Ibusa people as His Eminence, Chief Celestine Okeibunor Okafor, the 12th Ikwele in line of Ishite, the first Ikwele of Ibusa celebrates his 50th birthday and 10th year anniversary on the throne of his forefathers today. 


The "Igbuzo agwu na unor, gwu na ilor" age-long saying of the people may be practically replicated in the community today to buttress the love of culture and the love of Ikwele Celestine Okeibunor Okafor.


The Ibusa people from all walks of life are expected to roll out the ancient drums to celebrate their oldest traditional institution in the community. The Ikwele institution is the first ever traditional institution of the Ibusa people with patriarch, Ishite as the first occupier. Since its first occupation in the 15th century, the institution has remained unbroken till date with Ikwele Okeibunor Okafor as the 12th. 


It is also the only Ibusa institution that runs from a family. The Ibusa people happily and luckily found a Celestine Okafor who from obscurations, put the institution in limelight. It would seem that the traditional figure, now fondly called "Oke Nmor" by his people is naturally tailored for the institution. 


The Ikwele goes about loving the people, and winning them to the institution thereby brightly transforming himself to the traditional figure that every Ibusa giant in the traditional sector of the community wants to associate with. Described as a friend of all, the Ikwele has served the community well enough.


It is believed that the Ikwele celebration today will unite the Ibusa people, bringing them under the canopy of love. The Ikwele, Odogwu, Uwolo and Iyase are the community's most revered traditional titles and all the cultural stake and interest of the entire ten quarters/villages of the community are deeply-rooted in these institutions.


Congratulations to Oke Nmor His Eminence, Chief Celestine Okafor, the Ikwele of Ibusa as he celebrates his birthday today and occupation of the Ikwele stool.
