Lagos stands up as Ifechukwude unveils “Imagine Lagos And Other Stories”

It was a convergence of Ibusa personalities who came from far and wide to witness the public presentation of the book, “Imagine Lagos and Other Stories” authored by Philip Ngozi Ifechukwude. The occasion which held under the Chairmanship of Prof Pat Utomi aroused the interest of the literary world with most speakers at the event coming to agreement that it was time to encourage reading culture.
The book was reviewed by Mr. Zik Zulu Okafor who went memory lane by narrating his childhood experience which corroborated events in the book. He extolled the writer’s literary style and also praised his literary prowess just as he analyzed some of the stories contained in the book. The Chief Launcher, Chief Steve Okonmah, represented by Mr Eluemuno Okafor.
Also speaking at the event, Historian, Elder Emeka Esogbue who represented Prof Austin Uwandulu delivered the Professor’s message. He said the respected scholar was delighted that Ifechukwude was encouraging reading culture in Ibusa, his hometown, Delta State and Nigeria as a whole and promised that he would be encouraged not to stop. Highlights of the event were performances by entertainer, Ayaya Mog and Gloria Ogechi Idegwu who recited a poem. Little Michael also performed at the event.
Personalities present at the event included Prof Pat Utomi who chaired the event, Dr. Austin Izagbo, President-General of Ibusa Community Development Union (ICDU), Dr. Nosike Agokei, Dr. Belinda Okoh, Dr. Anselm Nwanze, Barr. Chudi Okobi, Chief Frank Odita, the retired Police Commissioner, Prof Austin Uwandulu represented by Elder Emeka Esogbue, Dr Elizabeth Olinmah of Women Development, Mrs. Moji Ikolodo and Dr. Chris Ugoh among others too numerous to mention.   
The occasion was anchored by Mr. Austin Ogechukwu Nwulia.
