Ibusa Community Holds Beauty Pageant



The Ibusa community moved a step further on Friday, June 23, 2017, with the decision to take seriously the grooming of the youths of the community.
The event, "Beauty and Balance' organized by the National Association of Ibusa Students, Ibusa Youth Council and the Office of the SSA to the Delta State Governor on Youth Development did the expected magic.

"See Ibusa as your home"- HRM Obi Prof Louis Nwaoboshi, the Obuzor of Ibusa
"Disengage yourselves from evil" - Barr (Hon) Evangelist Pat Ajudua, Hon Member Representing Oshimili North LG at the Delta State House of Assembly
"Cultic involvement, a waste of life" - Hon Esewezie, SSA to Gov Okowa on Youth Development
"Declare Ibusa camps, an extension of larger Ibusa community to retain them" - Chief Amaechi Nwaenie
"The Inspector-General of Police has ordered Mr. Austin Emu to set up anti-cult in Ibusa within the next 2 weeks"- DPO, Ibusa Police Station
"Ogwashi-Uku prison now full. If we catch you as a member of cultism, we will send you to either Agbor or Warri prisons therefore think twice on cultism"- Mr. Austin Emu, President, Anti Volunteer Corps, Ibusa.
The beauty pageant and drama themed around the unity among Ibusa elders were the highlights of the event.
Judges of the event were Emeka Esogbue (Chief Judge), Emeka Ani, ace Nollywood veteran and Ngozi Odiwe, Deputy General Manager, Delta State Broadcasting Service.
Personalities present at the event included the Dr. Austin Izagbo, President of Ibusa Community Development Union, Delta State Commissioner of Youth Development (represented), Rev Fr. Paul Okobi who presented a paper on behalf of Rev Fr Frank Idayi, President of Ibusa Indigenous Priests, Religious and Seminarians Association titled "Ibusa Youth: General Appraisal (Causes and effects of their restiveness), former Police Commissioner, Frank Odita, Philip Ngozi Ifechukwude, Novelist and Poet, Kate Ifeyinwa Igbodo, CEO of Yinkee Entertainment and many others, some of who have already been mentioned. The new Miss Ibusa, Juliet Olimmah was crowned by Hon Evangelist Pat Ajudua.
The event was anchored by the duo of Vincent Iwunor and Olimmah Vin Shuntee
