Ibusa Political Dispute: Obi Henry Ajudua Urges Community Unity Ahead of Elections
By Emeka Esogbue
Amid growing political tensions in Ibusa ahead of forthcoming elections in the country, Obi Dr. Henry Ajudua has called on members of the community to embrace unity, peace, and mutual understanding in the interest of the town’s progress and stability.
Speaking during a telephone conversation with PEN MASTER, the respected community leader and founder of Vebron Carre Inc. urged indigenes, residents, and political stakeholders to refrain from actions capable of deepening divisions within the community. According to him, collective harmony remains essential not only in choosing credible political representatives for Ibusa, but also in attracting meaningful development to the community.
The ace philanthropist stressed that peace and unity are indispensable if the people are to make the right political decisions. He noted that a divided community would find it difficult to speak with one voice or pursue a common political vision, adding that Ibusa’s strength has always rested on the collective will of its people.
Obi Dr. Ajudua therefore appealed to all political actors, opinion leaders, youths, and elders of the community to work together in the overall interest of Ibusa, irrespective of political affiliations or personal ambitions. He maintained that inclusive participation and consensus-building were necessary ingredients for sustainable political progress and communal development.
Speaking further, he observed that the political advancement of Ibusa in previous years was largely driven by unity of purpose among the people. He recalled with pride that the community once produced representatives at the Senate, House of Representatives, and state House of Assembly levels, noting, however, that political achievements should ultimately translate into tangible development for the people.
According to him, the success and political rise of Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi were made possible through the collective support, trust, and shared aspirations of the Ibusa people. He added that the late political leader understood the importance of carrying the community along and recognized unity as a major force behind political success.
Obi Dr. Ajudua lamented the increasing trend of internal disagreements, altercations, and divisions within the community, warning that such controversies pose serious obstacles to political growth and communal advancement. He described persistent infighting as a reflection of personal interests overshadowing the collective good of the people.
He expressed optimism that Ibusa could once again attain greater political relevance and developmental progress if its people chose the path of peace, dialogue, and togetherness. According to him, the vision of a “new Ibusa” should be built on mutual respect, political harmony, and a shared commitment to the advancement of the community.
“A new Ibusa must be defined by unity, peace, and togetherness on the political front,” he concluded.
