By Emeka Esogbue
There seems no end to the resourceful ingenuity of the Anioma people, a region blessed with human capital in abundance, now serving global needs for the good of mankind. The people are doing well in their respective endeavours and are excelling wherever they are found and Collins Nweke is one of these proud Anioma sons.
True to the above declaration, Pen Master can authoritatively inform you that Dr. Collins Nweke, the Belgian political giant from Anioma will make one of the resource persons in this year's University of Oxford Literary Festival from 1 - 3 of September of this year. The world is already expectant of the literary guru and politician who is based in that country to perform this scholarly task.
When contacted by Pen Master, the renowned speaker confirmed the information that has since been in the public domain, circulated by concerned international broadcasting organizations, and calling on people from all races to take advantage of it touches specifically on Africa.
"Yes, I shall be moderating the panel debate on the critical question: Are Africans Writing Travelogues? Are We Writing About our History, Cuisines, and Cultures?"
"This topic will probably interest you (Pen Master) to follow up on."
"Over the past couple of years, I have been working gradually on an anthology of African Diaspora writings and hope to bring to bear in these series, some of the insights emerging from this book in the making," the scholar revealed to Pen Master.
Born to Anioma parents from Isieke in Ibusa, Delta State, Nigeria, Dr. Collins Nweke holds the record as the first non-Belgian-born person to be elected a Councillor in his West Flanders Constituency in Belgium. Nweke is also a member of the newly formed Guild of Ibusa Writers and Authors (GIWA) which will be unveiled to the public soon.
