In an aftermath of an election, the Ikwele of Ibusa, His Eminence, Chief Engr. Celestine Okeibunor Okafor, on Friday night, emerged as the Chairman of the Anioma Brothers Fans Club. The Ikwele, a revered Ibusa traditional Chief, received the highest number of votes cast in a 3-day election that was held on the Group's forum as coordinated by the Anioma Brothers Administrators. 


Election flagged off on May 18, with Chief Engr. Celestine Okafor, Chief Daddy Okeleke, the Mgboko Isiga of Ibusa, Chief Austin Uwaonye Ndinwa, the Okemili of Ibusa, and Mr. Emmanuel 'Kwasa' Amatokwu, announced as the nominees of the newly formed Fans Club for voting by the Administrators. 


In the total of 48 votes received, Chief Celestine Okafor polled 35 and was subsequently declared the Chairman-Elect by Mr. Chuks Patrick Chubby who announced the result on behalf of the Anioma Brothers Fans Club. The Ikwele was followed by Chief Austin Ndinwa whose votes totaled 12.


Congratulatory messages have since started to come the way of the Ikwele with one of the contestants, Mr. Emmanuel Amatokwu sending the first goodwill message. 


"By now, the Ikwele would have won. If so, congratulations to Chief. This is another aspect of belonging to this Group. What benefit do we expect? It is good we have a good number of followers," he said.


Another member of the Fans Club, Mr. Oge Osinkor, popularly called "Daddy O" also sent him his goodwill message:


"Congratulations, Ikwele Isu Kingdom. I trust you will be a wonderful Chairman," the Ibusa political figure from Ogboli, wrote. 


Another contender, Chief Austin Ndinwa has also congratulated the Ikwele. 


The Anioma Brothers Band is a musical group, led by the Anioma Ekobe Music Maestro, Chief Ogbogu Okonji who hails from Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State. It is yet clear when Chief Engr. Celestine Okafor, the Ikwele of Ibusa, described by the Group's Administrators as Chairman-Elect would be sworn in. The Ikwele is also yet to announce his acceptance speech at the time of filing this report.
