Emeka Esogbue Bio/Profile

  Chukwuemeka Jerry Esogbue (Born 6 June 1970), usually referred to as Emeka Esogbue, is an Anioma (Nigerian) historian, journalist, writer and Anioma crusader. He is the author of 'A Study of the Origins and Migrations of Anioma Settlements' (2015) and 'A Short History of Omu' (2016), published by Carophem Communications Limited, Ibadan. Esogbue is currently Research Fellow with Anioma Essence Magazine and also Associate Editor of Homage Magazine. As a historian, Emeka Esogbue favours the use of historical continuity in rendering past accounts and digging into the past of the Anioma people. He emphasises on the origin and intertribal relationship of the Anioma people of Delta, Anambra, Imo, Edo and Rivers States of Nigeria. Emeka Esogbue has in his writings passionately criticised the near assimilation of the Anioma people by related ethnic groups in the country and many of his works are centred on this.   Elder Emeka Esogbue (born 6 June 1970), commonly called Pen Master is a Nigerian (Anioma) historian, journalist, researcher, writer, and Anioma crusader. The 95-year old Diokpa, in a 16-clause communique, published on Thursday in the Vanguard Newspaper of August 18, 2022, revealed that the bone of contention was issues regarding ownership and administration of land in his Umuodafe domain. He, therefore, constituted a peace panel to look into the particular areas of trouble as it affects the people and make reconciliation subsequently.  Tears and Sorrow as Ibusa Novelist, Philip Ngozi Kwusike Goes Home - Emeka Esogbue What had started as an intense shock for the Ibusa community following the announcement of the death of Philip Ngozi Ifechukwude-Kwusike and kept the community in a sombre mood, became metamorphic of sorrow and tears as the community's prominent novelist and writer was laid to rest on Thursday morning.  The day before, was the heavily attended service of songs by the people of Ibusa which took place in his Umutaba, Nkpanyala home.
