Ibusa Pays Final Respect to Omu Augustina Nando, the late Omu of the community

Ibusa Pays Final Respect to Omu Augustina Nando, the late Omu of the community  By Emeka Esogbue The final funeral rites of the last Omu of Ibusa, Omu Augustina Ogugua Nando was conducted in Ibusa yesterday being Eke day. The final rites of the funeral natively known as "Ife ilo" were conducted to give the late Omu who was popular for her discipline and knowledge of the Ibusa customs and tradition, the last respect culturally expected of an Omu in the community where culture is heavily cherished.  Omu Nando was the last Omu of Ibusa whose reign ended the more than 400 years of the traditional institution of the Anioma people in the community. Since then, the community has been struggling to rebirth the foremost traditional female institution which gave women in the community and Anioma as a whole, a true sense of belonging. Anioma National Congress: Matters Arising

Anioma National Congress: Matters Arising The election is here again and they are beginning to make Anioma look more precious than God's heaven. The truth is that Anioma is yet to have a socio-cultural organization in the magnitude of Afenifere, Ohanaeze, Arewa, Urhobo Progressive Union, Middle Belt Forum and our people need it to have the same voice that others in the nation have. In time to come, the people of Anioma should come together to establish a socio-cultural group for the region outside the political groups that exist, one of which is the Anioma Nationa

Fear Politicians: Emeka Esogbue Shocked by Philip Elueme's Forged Article Over Anioma National Congress There was the dispute over reported bid to create a socio-political organization for the Anioma people, which some politicians guided against and I did a piece, stating that Anioma is a region that requires an establishment of a socio-cultural organization in the magnitude of Ohanaeze, Afenifere, Arewa, Middle Belt Forum and others, which attracted positive comments from a wide range of social media users.  Interestingly, Philip Elueme, Legislative Aide to Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, the Senator serving the Delta North, in total difference called me instantly on the phone and with political motivation, he attempted to dissuade my opinion but I stood still.  The next morning, the Legislative Aide went up on social media with a screaming headline, "Philip Elueme Chides Emeka Esogbue Over Anioma National Congress." Shockingly, he came up phoney details. Although he never resp
