Pen Master on Monday, met with the young virile philanthropist who was full of laudable ideas, inside his Lagos office where they sat down to have discussions to this effect. Worried that things are not really as they should be, he believes that the youths carrying something to offer the society should come onboard to introduce new tactics which will help change the people's destiny.  The Omelora of Ibusa who hails from Umuodafe in Ibusa is a respected business tycoon with investments that cut across different sectors in the country.  Hailed by Oshimili North youths and call...

The Esewezie political career should be noted and followed closely.  "We have seen reinvention of good offices, markets, water projects, empowerment programs and arrangement of peaceful security matters within our Council and it is for now impos...

Visiting the Ibusa Development: Enter Victor Uchunor, a Thinker of the People's Growth

Visiting the Ibusa Development: Enter Victor Uchunor, a Thinker of the People's Growth "Secondly, the time has come for us as a community to think of development. The idea of "Ego di n'oshia" should be a thing of the past. This is because after two years, four years, we are not able to lay a foundation for the development of the community, then questions should arise as to what role we played. What can they say after our exit on the idea of utilizing the resources of the community? There is nothing that stops Umuodafe for example from having a big hall as in Umuodafe community hall. We can also harness our resources to develop a shopping mall. There is nothing wrong with having a recreation centre as part of our legacies where Umuodafe sons and daughters will use it at a minimal cost. More so, if every village in Ibusa should embrace such an idea, Ibusa will not remain like this. But a situation where people lavish money and resources on frivolities does not tel...

ANIOCHA-OSHIMILI CHAIRMEN: APPROVE MONTHLY TOKEN FOR YOUR OMU

ANIOCHA-OSHIMILI CHAIRMEN: APPROVE MONTHLY TOKEN FOR YOUR OMU  - Emeka Esogbue The time is here and now for the Aniocha North and South and Oshimili North and South Councils to pay the Omu token on monthly basis. With the campaign for votes, they move to Omu Anioma palace because they understand the role and influence of Omuship within the Enuani society but when elections have come and gone, they soon forget where they started.  Times have since changed and the government should recognize that the Omu should be catered for. We have a tradition, a woman leaves her husband and occupation because Omuship has called, a palace is built for her, with a retinue of domestic staff to cater for, and she takes up societal responsibility for her people's over all wellbeing.  She was formally in charge of markets within her vicinity but with foreign invasion by colonialists, she became stripped of this headship with the local government put in charge. The same council collects ...
