 ANIOMA DAUGHTER, VERONICA UFOEGBUNE LAUNCHES ENUANI LANGUAGE ACADEMY WEBSITE - Dr. Emeka Esogbue Ace Enuani Linguist and Anioma daughter from the Issele-Uku community, Dr. Veronica Ufoegbune will be unveiling the Enuani Language Academy Website today, in partnership with Ndienuani TV.  The cultural website of the Enuani people will come alive today, Sept 16, 2023, at 7.00 a.m., PDT according to the information personally made available to PEN MASTER by the Founder, Dr. Veronica Ufoegbune.  The founder, Ufoegbune thanked Madam Rahanatu Talatu Abubakar and Mr Philip Olisemeke Nwabueze for bringing the project to fruition.  The page as viewed by PEN MASTER shows it to be enriched with Ndienuani Academy, PodCast, and Marketsquare.  Further information reveals students' registration comes with free tuition with courses also free online modules.  I HAVE WORKED HARD TO PRESERVE THE OMUSHIP OF MY ANIOMA PEOPLE Read What the Omu Anioma Said on Omuship "When I became Omu, I met five elderly women and they were convinced that the Omu Institution would go into extinction after six of us finished our earthly journey. So, in 2005, I went to Prof E. A. C. Nwanze from Asaba, the then Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, and pleaded with him to set up a committee of Anioma sons and daughters from the Department of Anthropology and Sociology to look into Omuship so that we can have something for future generations since the Omu Institution was going into extinction while I go on the ground to talk to some of our elderly people before they pass on. Prof Nwanze graciously obliged me and set up a Committee headed by Dr. Ikechukwu Enwenwa from Ogwashi-Uku who was the then Head of the Sociology Department.  Mixed Reactions Welcome Trendy Onicha-Ugbo City Gate on Social Media - Emeka Esogbue Mixed feelings greeted the Onicha-Ugbo City Gate which hit Anioma groups on social media. Images of the amazing and strategically positioned Onicha-Ugbo City Gate with the inscription "Welcome to Onicha-Ugbo City Gate Diokpala Ezechime" hit the Anioma groups on social media with many hailing the idea and concept behind the people's Gate. However, a few commentators critically pointed at the location of the City Gate, describing it as a "no road." Wondering why a beautiful City Gate should rest on a bad road, Akay Umeadi asked, "What is this that really needs requires (sic) media or Facebook post?" Going further, he wrote, "this is an eyesore and if work is still ongoing why paint the wall that should have been the last thing to be done?"  Okonji Npi and Esogbue Houses: Colonial Heritages for Tourists in Ibusa By Emeka Esogbue I was excited to see the video of the Igbuzo Ifejioku feasting at the Obi Okonji Npi Isieke ancestral home in Ibusa, Delta State. The Narrator whose identity I am yet to determine gave a knowledgeable and historical account of a colonial residence also seen in the video.  Showing the original structure of the building, well preserved by the Okonji Npi family, the Narrator explained that the imposing structure was over a century but it was built in 1948 though.
