PEN MASTER'S 11 PEOPLE THAT TOUCHED IBUSA IN 2022

PEN MASTER'S 11 PEOPLE THAT TOUCHED IBUSA IN 2022

Like everything else that has a beginning, the year 2022 is gradually rolling to an end. However, some people made the community tick and enjoyable.

This compendium is in no particular order.

1. HON INNOCENT Esewezie: Esewezie took the year to warm himself into the hearts of the people as perhaps, the LG Chairman with the most verifiable projects for the community. Hardly will anyone think of any particular sector ranging from health, security, road construction, peace initiatives, etc that he did touch. Hon Esewezie was just himself Igbuzo in 2022 and everyone can attest to it.

2. PAT ADIGWE: Adigwe was phenomenal with philanthropies that added to the human beauty of the community. It was not only about philanthropies as Adigwe delved into reportage to unravel the true situations of some of the events that happened in the community. With Pat Adigwe, the Ibusa people heard directly from the horse's mouths and reached conclusions on their own.

3. CHIEF SABASTINE ADIGWE: Chief Adigwe was one Ibusa personality that stood firmly behind the promotion of the culture of the Igbuzo people with particular reference to the Iwu Festival. The former MD of Afribank reworked and repackaged the Iwu Festival of the Ogbeowele people to sell it to lovers of culture and tourism. The Owelle was more than fantastic.

4. PRECIOUS ADIGWE: The wife of Pat Adigwe cannot be left out in this compendium. The Akwa-Ocha woman promoted the traditional attire of the Anioma people, designing and redesigning as much as possible. The beauty is that Precious made Ibusa a destination for seekers of the Akwa-Ocha.

5. CHIEF KIZITO IJEH: The Uteogbeje Chief, in addition to his fearless status as the Chairman of the committee that saw the reemergence of the Omu institution in Ibusa also touched many lives in the community. The People of Oshimili North initiator popularly called "Mugabe 1" in the forum, in contrast to Hon Pat Mozea, also known as "Mugabe 2," used the platform to extend philanthropy to several indigenes in the community, helping to raise funds for them. Chief Kizito Ijeh distinguished himself.

6. SIR DR. CHUKS OKONJI: The Omelora of Ibusa sealed a place in the heart of Ibusa in 2022. The politician and philanthropist who is also the APM flag bearer in the 2023 Delta State House of Assembly election, emerged as one of the Ibusa politicians with the largest followers. The Omelora whose influence spread far and wide across the Oshimili North constituency has been seen receiving awards as rewards for the philanthropy carried out by him.

7. ACHOR NONYELIM: One of the biggest philanthropists in Ibusa in the year 2022 was Mr. Achor. Interestingly, while many in the community concentrated their selflessness on wealthy people, Achor Nonyelim was truly about the less privileged, putting smiles on their faces. It would seem that the Ibusa people are tired of thanking him for this. Beautifully too, hardly is his voice heard despite the great works of humanity by him.

8. CHIEDU BANDOH: There was Chiedu Bandoh, a Media Aide to the Oshimili North LGA Chairman. Brilliant in this trade, Ibusa, Oshimili and Anioma took the year, 2022, reading the reports of Chiedu Bandoh who relentlessly informed the minds on the activities of the Oshimili North LGA. Bandoh was the foremost reliable source of the Ibusa people in 2022.

9. MRS. FLORENCE AGOH: Mrs. Agoh is the latest Ibusa revelation in youth mentorship. She is a lover of Ibusa youths and their affairs.

10. DR. SUNNY UDOGWU: Dr. Udogwu, also a Bishop-Elect, despite his Lagos location took 2022 to identify and extend his philanthropies to the people of Ibusa. The Initiator of Encouragers International Charity Organization found a way in 2022 to think of the Ibusa people for inclusion among several other extractions of people living in Lagos.

11. ONOWU FRANK OBODOECHINA: Onowu Obodoechina is known for his love and commitment to Ibusa and this manifested fully in the year,  2022. Onowu Frank Obodoechine is like the Ibusa representative in the Diaspora, doing everything humanly possible and taking every available opportunity to promote the community in the social sphere, especially in the area of culture. With Obodoechine, It would seem that everything in Canada is Ibusa. Where others complain of disconnection, Onowu Frank gathers Igbuzo children reminding and taking them through the process of sociocultural education in the community. He retains the Igbuzo language and culture for the present generation. No one seems to have made felt in the Diaspora like Onowu Frank in 2022.

DIAMOND JUBILEE AGE: 20 THINGS THE WORLD DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT FRED AJUDUA

DIAMOND JUBILEE AGE: 20 THINGS THE WORLD DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT FRED AJUDUA On January 21 2020, Pen Master paid Chief Fred Ajudua a scheduled visit at his Lagos-VGC Marble Dome Home, a large and imposing house sitting on a hill from where it vigorously engages public views and attention. On entering the house, Pen Master freely walked in and around, in the spirit of the love that always binds the people of Igbuzo. The man, Chief Fred Ajudua often described as the “Architect of Modern Ibusa” is unarguably one of the biggest fish in history to have come out of Ibusa even as it is said that nearly every Ibusa family has benefited from him one way or the other. Beyond what you know about him, there seems many sides you do not know. As the Igbuzo Chief celebrates his 60 th Year birthday, your Pen Master brings you the things you do not know about the highly influential Igbuzo Chief. Pen Master also dug into the Ajudua family photo depository all for your knowledge. Happy reading!

A SHORT HISTORY OF OBOLLO CLAN IN ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA

A SHORT HISTORY OF OBOLLO CLAN IN ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA By Emeka Esogbue Introduction Not many historical literatures on the Obollo people exist for the usual reasons associated with our people who prefer to write the history of mighty and populous peoples already enriched with volumes of historical accounts and records. Thus while there are historical documents on other peoples of Igbo, for Obollo, it is the story of dearth of documents. However, it is within my historical concern that the rich history of this part of Igboland be adequately researched into, documented and preserved for the future generation. I do not hail from this part of Igboland but my historical background, interest and curiosity propelled me towards the acquisition of both oral and written information to put this material together. Geography The various Obollo communities comprising of Obollo Afor, Obollo Etiti, Obollo Eke, Obollo Orie and Obollo Nkwo are strategically situated at the regional bou

SEE HOW ANIOMA PEOPLE DRESS ON THEIR TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE THE ERA OF USING OUR TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE TO PROMOTE ATTIRES OF OTHER GROUPS IN NIGERIA IS GONE

SEE HOW ANIOMA PEOPLE DRESS ON THEIR TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE THE ERA OF USING OUR TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE TO PROMOTE ATTIRES OF OTHER GROUPS IN NIGERIA IS GONE Today is Saturday, conventionally set aside for marriage ceremonies. Awareness on how our Anioma brides and grooms attire themselves during their traditional marriage has fast spread and entrenched. We no longer promote other group's cultural attires because we want them to promote our own instead. I say many thanks to our Anioma cultural advocates on this day because our labours to preserve as well as promote the good cultures of our Anioma society have never been in vain. Noticeable now is that in   time of our traditional marriages, we costume ourselves in Akwa-Ocha which brings out our god-given beauty. A few moments after her traditional marriage in Umuodafe, Ibusa on December 28, inside the Agokei palatial home, I visited former Miss Amaka Thelma Agokei, the bride. I was rather late; but I met this beautiful bride t
