Youths of Ibusa began to gather at the Santa Maria Montessori Schools, Alaka venue of the conference as early as 9am of yesterday for the event. In his opening remarks, Sir Tony Francis Oraegbu, the Chairman of the Occasion who was represented by his wife, Lady Euphemia Oraegbu saluted Ibusa youths for having the courage to come together while expressing belief in the youths of Ibusa. He thanked Elder Esogbue for his love for the community.
The Welcome Address saw Elder Emeka Esogbue's appeal to capable Ibusa men and women to take Ibusa youth affairs with all seriousness. He noted that despite the big names in the community, the people have not done enough to selflessly support non-political groups that have to do with the community especially groups with youth affiliation, warning that lack of empowerment of the youths can affect the future of the community negatively. Elder Emeka Esogbue was accompanied to the event by his wife, Mrs Lilian Esogbue.
The historian singled out Chief Amaechi Nwaenie, the Uwolo of Ibusa as contributing to the hosting of this year's program. He noted that responding to invitations to non-political gatherings of social importance to the youths is now a major challenge to those working to enhance youth development socially. He thanked Mr. Kelvin Njideaka who offered the use of the venue for the conference.
Keynote Speaker, Mrs Uche Uchidiunor Amatokwu held the gathering spellbound with her message of Ibusa love. The highly resourceful Amatokwu who spoke on "Ibusa to Ibusa Marriage: A Testimony of Our Cultural Strength and Unity" was overwhelming as she journeyed into the Bible to establish her arguments. She encouraged the youths to love and think Ibusa always.
Guest Speaker, Pastor Emmanuel Watson of The Overcomer Glorious Faith Ministry Outreach used the opportunity of his resourcefulness to pray for Ibusa youths for divine opening in every area of their lives especially marriage.
Questions were asked regarding the lectures delivered and Ibusa culture of marriage, and responses were received with the most prominent coming from Evangelist Felix Nyemike Nkadi who urged the youths to be of good character as character easily reflects in marriage. He was supported by Mr. Joseph Odibe, the Father of the Day.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the book, "A History of Ibusa", conducted by the Special Guest of Honour, Chief Mrs. Rosemary Moji Ikolodo, Head of Patovilki Industrial Planners Ltd who also launched the book also announced an amount from Prof Austin Uwandulu whom she represented in another capacity as donation for launching the book.
Earlier the book was reviewed ably by Dr. Olukayode Akinrolabu of the Lagos State University who told he gathering that his wife hails from the community with additional commentaries from University of Cape Town, South Africa Theatre History Lecturer, Dr Henry Obi Ajumeze. Dr Ajumeze who praised Emeka Esogbue's scholarly contributions to the development of Ibusa urged the Ibusa people to support Ibusa researches as researchers rarely sponsor their works for a community.
Meanwhile in a message read out by Chief Mrs. Ikolodo, Prof Austin Uwandulu, the Chief Guest of Honour, urged Ibusa youths to strive to ensure that there are one PhD holders in every Ibusa family in the next ten years. DIAMOND JUBILEE AGE: 20 THINGS THE WORLD DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT FRED AJUDUA

DIAMOND JUBILEE AGE: 20 THINGS THE WORLD DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT FRED AJUDUA On January 21 2020, Pen Master paid Chief Fred Ajudua a scheduled visit at his Lagos-VGC Marble Dome Home, a large and imposing house sitting on a hill from where it vigorously engages public views and attention. On entering the house, Pen Master freely walked in and around, in the spirit of the love that always binds the people of Igbuzo. The man, Chief Fred Ajudua often described as the “Architect of Modern Ibusa” is unarguably one of the biggest fish in history to have come out of Ibusa even as it is said that nearly every Ibusa family has benefited from him one way or the other. Beyond what you know about him, there seems many sides you do not know. As the Igbuzo Chief celebrates his 60 th Year birthday, your Pen Master brings you the things you do not know about the highly influential Igbuzo Chief. Pen Master also dug into the Ajudua family photo depository all for your knowledge. Happy reading!

A SHORT HISTORY OF OBOLLO CLAN IN ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA

A SHORT HISTORY OF OBOLLO CLAN IN ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA By Emeka Esogbue Introduction Not many historical literatures on the Obollo people exist for the usual reasons associated with our people who prefer to write the history of mighty and populous peoples already enriched with volumes of historical accounts and records. Thus while there are historical documents on other peoples of Igbo, for Obollo, it is the story of dearth of documents. However, it is within my historical concern that the rich history of this part of Igboland be adequately researched into, documented and preserved for the future generation. I do not hail from this part of Igboland but my historical background, interest and curiosity propelled me towards the acquisition of both oral and written information to put this material together. Geography The various Obollo communities comprising of Obollo Afor, Obollo Etiti, Obollo Eke, Obollo Orie and Obollo Nkwo are strategically situated at the regional bou

SEE HOW ANIOMA PEOPLE DRESS ON THEIR TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE THE ERA OF USING OUR TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE TO PROMOTE ATTIRES OF OTHER GROUPS IN NIGERIA IS GONE Today is Saturday, conventionally set aside for marriage ceremonies. Awareness on how our Anioma brides and grooms attire themselves during their traditional marriage has fast spread and entrenched. We no longer promote other group's cultural attires because we want them to promote our own instead. I say many thanks to our Anioma cultural advocates on this day because our labours to preserve as well as promote the good cultures of our Anioma society have never been in vain. Noticeable now is that in   time of our traditional marriages, we costume ourselves in Akwa-Ocha which brings out our god-given beauty. A few moments after her traditional marriage in Umuodafe, Ibusa on December 28, inside the Agokei palatial home, I visited former Miss Amaka Thelma Agokei, the bride. I was rather late; but I met this beautiful bride t
